Unpacking the supposed "hook-up culture". Who are these "experts" who are so sure that young women have "gone wild" to their own physical and emotional detriment? What's the real agenda here?
Jessica from feministing shares with us a talk she recently gave at a college campus (campuses are supposedly to hub of this liberal/permissive/hook-up culture). She does a very good job at truly exploring what people are really talking about when they go off about the "hook-up culture" and "sexual permissiveness" and how these arguments spawn from anti-feminist, backwards ideas and tired biological-determinist logic.
