Boswyck Farms in Bushwick

I visited this great place today while I was making the rounds of Bushwick Open Studio (BOS). There is a farm and education center in my area of Bushwick called Boswyck Farms, which specializes in hydroponics. This is the description from their website:
...a hydroponic farm located in Bushwick Brooklyn, was founded in 2008 by Lee Mandell. It began with the idea of bringing fresh food to the surrounding community. Over the past two years, Boswyck Farms has grown, expanding our vision of food production to include educational programs and workshops as well as a consultation service for hydroponic systems.
I was really blown away by how beautiful the plants were and how little space they used to grow them. And the taste--I couldn't believe it. My roommate and I got the grand tour from Lee Mandell, who is the founder and Chief Hydroponicist. I was struck by the ingenuity and simplicity of what Mandell was doing and I'm definitely going to try and tackle some of his ideas, like this one:

Here are some other pictures I took of the cool stuff they're doing. Check them out!
